A Better Text Editor for Typed

As many of you know, we’re big fans of Markdown, which allows you to write and format text without needing to know how to write HTML. However, we know that for those new to Markdown it can still seem a little daunting.

We’ve been looking at ways to make it even easier to format articles as you write in the Typed Dashboard, and today we’re pleased to launch a new formatting bar that allows you to add formatting to your articles without needing to know the Markdown syntax. Just start writing with Typed, select some text, and add some formatting!

To keep things quick and understandable, the formatting bar supports Header 2 / Header 3 (to help you structure articles with sub-headings in a semantic way), along with Bold, Italic, and Links.

This new feature is available today, and we’re keen to hear your feedback. Let us know what you think in our forum thread.
